Bradford Cox probably loves music more than you do. Actually, he may love music more than anyone else on the planet. Spend anytime reading his interviews or reading the Deerhunter blog, and it's clear that Cox consumes music – everything from ambient, to noise, to rock, to the just plain bizarre. This consumption of music on his part adds to his prodigious natural talent, and may be a main reason he's become one of this generation's best songwriters.
Parallax is another entry into his growing canon and, it's the most focused record he's made under the Atlas Sound moniker. On the surface, it may seem laconic and hazy, but there is such a strong base to all the songs that they never get lost, but you might.
