Cold Cave's latest album starts out by blasting you in the face like a burst of life after years of walking around like a zombie. They give you a reason to remember, "Goddammit, I'm alive, and it feels great!" A love like that simply cannot be ignored, and Cold Cave embody it throughout their album. They tell you to Cherish the Light Years as if it's a command from some other universe. This isn't quite the dark gloominess of their first album, but more like a hopeful look into a starlit future.
