Finn Andrews has more than just his father to thank for his musical traits. Though his dad, Barry, was the keyboardist in the legendary XTC, Finn also draws from singers like Nick Cave and Jeff Buckley. His voice can quickly go from beautiful to menacing in the matter of a few notes. Meanwhile, his band takes their piano based chamber pop and plays the hell out of it to create a sound that recalls the Arcade Fire stripped of all their sheen. It's a raw, dramatic exploration into the inner depths of the heart that is gratifying and cathartic.
