Welcome back, Andrew Kenny! While this isn't a new American Analog Set record, it's still great to hear Kenny's fragile, soothing vocals once again. After AmAnSet's 2005 record, Set Free, Kenny continued work on a PhD at Columbia, and it seemed that he might disappear forever. His new project, Wooden Birds, is welcomed not only because we get to hear his songs again, but because it's a damn fine record, too. Kenny has focused mostly on an accoustic guitar this time around, and has found a female foil in the voice of Leslie Sisson (see the exquisite "Seven Seventeen"). American Analog Set is one of the TEAM's favorite bands, and we are incredibly excited that Mr. Kenny and Wooden Birds will be making a stop in Cleveland this June!
